Narrative
Painted en plein air in Barcelona, the city of Emma's birth. Working under the shade of the plane trees on the Passeig de Sant Joan, Emma spent successive mornings chasing the same slice of light as it climbed the Nativity façade. The composition frames Gaudí's towers through a canopy of leaves and dappled yellow blossom — an intentional reminder that the cathedral was conceived as a forest in stone.
